My first impression was that it is small but jam packed with wonderful statues, incense, crystals, books and anything else you might need as a wiccan. However there was no one giving you a friendly smile or have you been here before or just Hi. I was specifically looking for a centre piece to round off my new wall unit and found a Bast that was the perfect size.
Problem is the Bast was high up and in a display area so we had to find someone to help us. We looked very needy for about ten minutes in a shop that is about the third of Mawu’s size and everybody ignored us, so we approached someone we know works in the shop since she was busy with stock take. She WASN’T in a mood to help us and her whole body language screamed “Why are you bothering me”. So we finally got her to look if she can see a price on the item she got on the ladder looked the Bast up and down and said there is no price on it, so it couldn’t be for sale. With an attitude that said bugger off.
That is exactly what I did and I will never ever visit the shop again no matter what goodies they have available.
For someone that is used to friendly likeminded people this trip was devinatly a low point.
