Taste of Jo’burg
The first thought when someone mentions taste of joburg is sore feet!! It all started about a month ago when my husband came beaming into the house saying that we are going to the taste of Joburg. “That’s nice” I replied until I learned that we will be one of the exhibitors and not a guest. He already signed the contract and paid and from now on the mad rush will start to get our selves ready for an estimated 20 000 people.
So the last couple of weeks were spend getting containers, packing over 700 tins of tea, making gift packs and not least of all preparing salt scrubs for an event that should prove to be very lucrative.
Arriving on Wednesday we set up our little cubicle. The show started on Thursday Afternoon at 17h00 until Sunday 16h00.
The amount of people visiting the show was a disappointment thought it was closer to 9000 people than the promised 20 000. We did however meet some wonderful and colourful people. With a lot of laughs and amazing characters. When it comes to exposure the show seemed to be priceless and we hope to sell the rest of our products soon.
For now I am concentrating on marketing since the most common question was where people can buy our products. So do excuse us for not being so vigilant as usual this website is still a huge part of me but in order for me to give it better attention in the future I need to concentrate on my future first.
