Eye of the beholder
What people see is not always what they are suppose to see
I am not sure where I got this information, but it has been something I kept in my mind since then.
You wake up one morning, and decide that since you are of the Christian religion, you will paint a Christian cross above your bed, so that when you lay on your bed, you will be able to see the cross, and think of the meaning of it. The part you didn't think of is when someone walks into your room, and look up to the ceiling, they will see an upside down cross above your bed. All your visitors will have the weirdest thoughts, but not one of them will see what you see, and you won’t see what they see until they ask. This happens daily. I personally wear an upside down pentagram around my neck, when I look down at my chest, I see the Pentagram the way it should be, and is my sign of power and protection, yet several other Pagans have asked me about my upside down Pentagram around my neck, and each one of them received the same explanation.
In my spells and Rituals, I use what I have to complete my spell or ritual, my cleansed little pocket knife is my boline, and it does what I ask of it just like the expensive boline available at the shops. In the end it boils down to EYE OF THE BEHOLDER.
