When going to see a fortune teller many hope and in some cases expect the person to tell them exactly what will be happening in the next few weeks, months or even years of their lives, almost like a preview of the next episode lost, the truth is that such things are not always possible.
Granted there are some people who are famous for their foretelling, take Nostradamus, many believed he prophesised most of the events happening in today’s world, and he has been rather accurate in many cases, but foretelling the future of humanity and the future of one individual are two very different things, humanity is driven by big events, and very often choice is not an option, when is the last time the whole planet or even just part of it stopped what it was doing and decided to reconsider it’s approach, and I’m not talking about politicians sitting in a room smoking cigars, that doesn’t count.
But an individual person makes hundreds of choices every day, and each of those choices has a subtle effect on that persons future, the route you choose to drive home after a long day at the office, what you have for lunch, and whether or not to buy a sandwich from that dodgy vendor sitting in a corner your office blocks lobby, so the best a fortune teller can give an individual is an idea of what will happen if things stay the way they are, and ultimately the choice of what happens to your future remains up to you, asking someone like Morné to reassure you that you are on the right path (or to tell you you’re not) can be one way to make sure that the future journey you go on is the one you chose.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Morné last week at a bustling Mawu, while Morné had a few moments waiting for his next appointment, the first thing that struck me about Morné was his broad knowledge, and he loves to talk about what he does, and what he believes in, Morné journey through life has taken him on a tour of the spiritual side of the universe that many would envy, his knowledge and understanding of meditation, spirits, guides, Angles and many other parts of the mystic world makes for hours of enlightening chats, leaving you yearning for more knowledge every time you have to go. Morné however does not make small talk when it comes to the fact that we are responsible for our own journeys, but he offers advice in the choices we make.
You may sometimes not like what he has to say but unlike most people who just read your body language or tarot cards, he really is a medium himself and has direct contact with angels and spiritual guides. He believes in telling you the truth whether you like it or not. Morné has found a permanent “home” at Mawu Mysteoria and you can drop in any time to have a reading appointments are not always necessary, but it might be a good idea to make one if you don’t want to wait around too long. I think everyone needs a little guidance from time to time or just a bit of reassurance.
So given the opportunity last week I sat down with Morné and asked him a few questions.
Is there anything you don’t want people to tell you when they come for a reading?
Yes, why they are there. I should know why they are there and I do not want my personal opinions to intervene with the reading or get in the way of the knowledge that they need.
What mediums do you use, do you read tarots, and do you have a crystal ball?
Cards, Runes, Crystals, any medium you can think of the reason being that I am a medium myself.
Are you clairvoyant or clairaudience?
Neither and yet I am all. I can hear, see and feel and I can step through the plains at will.
When did you discover that you are clairvoyant/clairaudience?
The age of 3 or 4, it’s always been in my family.
Do you like what you are doing or is it just a job?
I absolutely love it; it is my passion in life.
Have you ever used a crystal ball?
Yes but sometimes it provides you with static. Static is like a bad TV channel you flip through it to see what you really need to see. It is like peeling away the layers of an onion in order to see the truth.
Can you really tell the future?
No I can give people probabilities of their choices in the patterns that the universe shows in our lives.
Do you see things spontaneously like accidents or natural disasters?
No I have trained myself not to see things I cannot have control over for in it lies madness. And yes I can predict cosmic events and weather patterns. Everything in the universe revolves around patterns.
What does a reading feel like for you?
Like I am not there most of the time and that time and space does not exist around me. It look like energy bends around me. Once tuned in nothing of this world exists.
Does a reading tire you out physically or emotionally?
Sometimes it depends on how needy or draining the person is. If a person does not want to hear the truth then they are a draining person. I am here to tell them the truth, I don’t ask any questions. I can’t stop you from making the wrong choices.
What has been your spiritual journey?
I come from a family of mediums, studying all forms of metaphysics and occult since I was eight years old. I have a natural aptitude to “trancing” and meditation, but I have studied most of the meditation techniques used throughout the world, this helps me to can make it easier for the person I am working with since I can help them find a method that works for him or her, and don’t have to make them adapt to how I do things, I started doing spiritual work when I was around the age of thirteen or fourteen.
When a person has created a psychic shield, will it affect your reading?
Not at all; I am not a mind reader. I am getting the information from spiritual guides.
What would you say to sceptics?
It is good to be a sceptic because only a fool believes anything they are told, if some part of you didn’t believe in me you wouldn’t come to see me.
Is it possible for any person to come in contact with their spiritual guides or the angels?
Yes
Where do you suggest a person begins?
Freeing themselves of pain, guilt, fear and anger for those are illusions.
How long does a reading usually take?
Anywhere from half an hour to an hour and a half.
Do you need to call on a person’s spirit or do they just come when needed?
In some instances I have to call on their spirits but sometimes you can only contact another relative.
What is your view about palm reading?
A useful art but it has limitations because you make your own choices. If you change your mind the pattern of your hand will change.
