To start off with; you will try to connect to the earth and the cycle of life, learning that it is continuing and death is a start of a new cycle not the end of the world.
For this exercise you will have to use visualization some of us are better with this that others but I am sure with practice we will get better.
Star with taking a deep breath. Each time a breath enters you see the clean white breath that is loving and warm and forgiving entering your body and filling you with that positive energy. When you breathe out, breathe out all the worries, bad thoughts, doubts, pain and everything that is dark inside you, fill yourself with the white forgiving light.
Then visualize yourself standing in a forest, you hear the birds the insects, feel the ground underneath your feet smell the forest flowers. You see the moss on the trees and the rocks beneath the roots of trees and in-between the plants. You hear water flowing in a gentle stream and look at a leave flowing down the quite relaxing stream. You start to notice the sun peaking through the gaps in the forest canopy and you follow the rays shining on the earth and roots of the jungle floor. You then see the energy of the sun in the ray (I imagine it as a pure white light that flows down, but you can use whatever image you are comfortable with). See this energy flowing towards the roots of the trees and the tree absorbing it. The energy is floating up in the tree; in its bark, in its branches then into the leaves. You see a fruit on this tree filling with this wonderful energy radiating the sun’s energy, when a monkey comes along and start to eat the fruit, the energy of the sun is transferred to the monkey and as it hops away he still shines with the energy. Now see an eagle swooping down on the monkey and while he is eating this monkey all that energy is transferred to our eagle. He ruffles his feathers and you can see the wonderful energy shining in his wings. See the leopard catching the eagle and the energy of this eagle flowing into the leopard; you can see the leopard muscles shine with this wonderful energy. The leopard returns to its den and feeds her cubs and the energy of the sun is absorbed by the cups. You see the leopard dead on the forest floor and the energy flowing back into the earth. Now see yourself looking at the earth moving father and father away passing the planets, passing the stars until you can see the whole universe. What do you feel? What are your thoughts? What emotions are bubbling up in you?
Take you dairy. Book of shadows, note pad or anything you can write on that you can go back to and write down these feelings and emotions.
This exercise must be continued for the rest of the week you can make it as long or short as you want to the important thins is to write down your emotions at the end of the exercise. You will notice that your emotions will differ and are sometimes connected; just look for the lesson that mother earth is trying to tell you.
