Okay so I go out in my garden like I do on a daily basis, and I check my little parsley patch and LO AND BEHOLD it's got aphids! Now, at first I got upset, and then intrigued. Has anyone ever paid attention to the little jiggly-swerve these creatures perform with their backsides? It's hilarious! The gogga(s) will sit still for a while and then suddenly do a whole swerve with the body in either direction. At times it looks like a Mexican wave!
Now, this got me concerned because I have some onions growning in the same brick box AND I salvaged a khaki bush from my sidewalk one day and jabbed in right in the middle of the box, hoping it will grow nicely and keep the goggos away. The khaki bush is thriving, thank you, but so is the noo-noo's on my parsley!
This got me Googling to find a way to get rid of them bugs without having to employ my Rose Care spray which is about the only thing I got at this stage without having to harvest my only poor Khaki bush... and I came across a link ABOUT Khaki bush. It turns out that another name for it, is Wild Marigold and the essential oil derived from it, is Tagetes oil.

It's used for quite a number of things, including coughs! I know Coco Chanel used it as the base note for her Chanel No 5 (which I cannot stand, but I LOVE the smell of Khaki bush)... but I always thought that it might not be good for you if used on the skin or even taken in.
Can anybody verify, clarify or nullify?
