That sure is a mouthful. I always knew that drinking tea is much more than just popping teabags in a cup or pot, since it is such an old tradition. Now I know that it is more like a little “ritual” (no pun intended) of its own.
Thank you for these great guidelines and advice. I will in future take a little bit more time, and brew the tea in a more traditional way. I think I will also try to avoid teabags altogether. Squeezing the water from them is such a habit, that you just seem to do it without paying attention. Using the leaves in a teapot would definitely ensure that this habit is broken for good.
Luckily I never use water from the geyser for drinking or cooking. You are correct in saying it should be considered unfit for human (and even animal) consumption. A water filter sounds like a great idea and good investment; I will be making the change for sure.
