Insomnia
Hi there guys. I was wondering if any of you have a spell or herbal remedy for insomnia? I had a spot of insomnia last night and only fell asleep at 5 a.m! It was not fun. Thanks guys.
May peace be upon you.

Re: Insomnia

Hi Bartimaeus,

As a quick herbal solution to insomnia you can try a cup of Cumin Seed Tea, add about 2 - 3 teaspoons to a cup of hot water on the stove and then allow to boil, remove the tea from the stove and allow to steep for 2 - 3 minutes, drink about 30 minutes before bed time.

You can also blend in some hops to help release tension, chomomile to improve the taste a bit and to relieve an anxiety that might be causing insomnia, and maybe a bit of st johns wort just to aid relaxation.

If you want I can blend you a tea.

Re: Insomnia
Good day Bartimaeus,

Hope you are well today, and had a great weekend. Hope you have been able to sleep in the meantime, and had a pleasant rest.

Thanks to the Pagemaster for the tea brew recommended, I will keep it handy for when I may need it.

Brightest blessings to all.

Re: Insomnia
Just to recap on insomnia, lavendar tea works exceptionally well. Rooibos is also quite relaxing, though I'd go with the former. The preparation of lavendar tea is fairly simple; cut your lavendar flowers & leaves with the stalks, hang them upside down using string in a dark, dry place (a closet, for instance) for around 5 days until they've dried out. When you wish to make the tea, put the dried lavendar (cut up if you wish) in a seive and pour hot water over it into a mug. You can submerse the seive slightly so that the lavendar seeps in.
Enjoy and goodnight!

Brightest blessing

Re: Insomnia

Hey Matty!

Lavendar and Chamomile blended infusion works well most of the time, that and being able to still the mind so meditation and chant something "sleepy" before turning in... Hope it helps!

Have you landed safely back in SA now?

Misty
