Kabala
Hi there

Is there a kabala expert that would like to share their views with us.  From what I can figure out kabala has always use magick as part of their religion and the believe in one God.  The divine (it depends from person to person what they call it) but because the God aspect is so difficult to understand they divided it into sections.  Starting with male and female and from there on Gods and Goddesses.  Each of them representing an aspect of the divine.

Maybe there is someone out there that can give us more information about it.

May the light shine where ever you are

LadyHawk

Re: Kabala
I am no expert on Kabala, but have close friends who have studied from credible sources and what I understand is that it is by far more complicated than being "magick" and the belief in one God - its an entire spiritual lifestyle - you may want to contact Rabbi Seltzer's group in Cape Town for better information on it - they are not Pagan, but are the real McCoy. Otherwise if the Jeudeo-slant is not for you, try Donald Kraig's books - he's rather good, and does take a bit more of a Pagan view on things.

Re: Kabala

Thanks for the advise I will definatly look for his books.  I am busy with a book of Michael Kraig and he explain some kaballa in his books.  For now it is still a very confusing subject but I am sure with some study it will become easier to understand.

Re: Kabala

I was trying to create a new thread in another section of this forum but for some or other reason it won't allow me... weird!!

Anyway: I am, myself, reading up Donald Michael Kraig's "Modern Magick: Eleven Lessons in the High Magickal Arts". I am fascinated by Kabalah. It is very sombre, very heavy and very intricate but also very pleasing (for me, that is). However, I don't think I have moved past lesson 2 yet! I'm a sssssslllllloooooowwwww reader, and this particular book I want to soak in, not just read and move on.

What is also fascinating (and overly credible) to know, is that Solomon possessed the Wisdom of the Kabalah. Ah-MAAAAAAzing stuff.

Re: Kabala

The Solomon connection to Kabalah has allways fascinated me, I've allways been very interested in ancient history and how it affects the modern world, you'd be amazed at how much todays world is affected by thing that happened thousands of years ago.

btw please let me know where you had issues creating a new thread, there should be no restrictions on the forum.
