Abundatia
Today’s Goddess Oracle card for discussion is Abundantia

She is the Goddess of prosperity

She is always pictured with a cornucopia (horn of plenty).  The main version of the origin of the cornucopia is similar in both the Greek and the Roman mythology, in which the king of the gods, having accidentally broken the horn of the mystical goat in play, promised that the horn would never run empty the fruits of her desire. The horn was then later to be passed into the keeping of Abundantia.
Within Roman Mythology, the figure of Abundantia (also known as Annona) was considered to be only a minor deity: the personification of luck, abundance and prosperity.

Various meanings of this card: Be open to receiving, A new windfall of money is coming to you. You have nothing to worry about. Your new venture will be financially successful. Visualize and affirm abundance. Abundance comes to you in many ways, including extra time, support, and ideas.

Re: Abundatia

Hi Ladyhawk.

I'm still learning about Wicca and I know this might be abit of a stupid question but who are the Gods we worship and what does each one stand for?

What you see is what you get: A girl of no regrets. I'm not ideal, I'm quite absurd. I'm just an imperfect girl.

Re: Abundatia
We worship The God and Goddess. The two of them are seen as equals. All other Gods, such as Anubis, Isis etc are seen as personifications of the God And Goddess, because the God can be healing and death at the same time it is easier to invoke the part of him you want to use in you ritual. You might feel more in touch with for example Anubis than with Isis, go with your gut feeling when you choose a God or Goddess to invoke, you can always go with the one of the Archangels rather than the God since they are the close messengers of God. There are a couple of books you might consider looking at
Goddesses by Sue Jennings
The Wiccan Handbook by Susan Bowes
To Ride a Silver Broomstick by Silver Ravenwolf
A Guide for the solitary Practitions by Scott Cunningham

Hope this helps

Re: Abundatia

Hi Chika,

Theres a new article on the home page, all about the God & Goddess, I think you'll find at least some of the answers you are looking for there.
