Book Club
Hi all

How about starting a online book club.  Tel me about the books you are reading and how valuable the info was in it.  I have just finished Angel Magick by Silver Ravenwolf and this is a book that is truly worth its value.  She explain things in every day language and provide you with plenty of exercises to help you connecting and working with Angels.  She also do not work on a specific religion and even a Christian can get good worth for their money.

She also provide you with the banishing pentagram in easy to follow instructions which is very important to do on a daily basis so that the angels are with you and protecting you through out the day.

Have a wonderful year

Re: Book Club
I have read Teen Witch, To Ride a Silver Broomstick, To Stir a Magick Cauldron and To Light a Sacred Flame by Silver Ravenwolf.  I found them very useful, and the explanations were clear.  Despite what many people say about Silver Ravenwolf's condescending style of writing, I found her books clear and informative.

I have also read Everyday Magic by Dorothy Morrison.  This is an immensely practical and handy book for almost every occasion, and I recommend it.

Blessed be,
Ametista

Re: Book Club
Greetings to all,

This sounds like a grand and wonderful idea. I am a person that keeps a diary, and since most of my family knows that I am a Pagan, I received the book "Llewellyn's Witches' Datebook 2007" to use as a diary instead of the usual diaries that are available in bookstores.

This is a fantastic book, it is just like a diary, with dialy notes on the current moonphases, quarters, planetary movements, Colours for the day, some interesting historic information relating to theat spesific day, also space for you to make your own notes.

It also includes the most beautiful artwork, all Pagan related, and so much more.

Surely a book that I will cherish for the year, and use extensively. Thereafter, a keepsake, for sure.

Have a blessed day,

In Love and Light,

LunaRiver

Re: Book Club
wow that is really a wonderful and practical gift.  I want one myself!!!  It makes our lives so much easier if you have the moon phases and daily information ready and you don't have to look it up everytime.  Now that must make a diary with the planetary hours included,  I am not so good a calculating those (more laziness than anything else)

2007 Daily Planetary Guide: Llewellyn's Astrology Datebook

Is it this one you are referring to?  I was looking for it on the internet and couldn't find the one you were referring too.
I have looked at the usual diaries and found out that most of them is christian diaries with quotes for each day at the bottem of the dairy, not exactly what I had in mind.  So I bought a hardcover book with no dates or any info in it.  I must admit I am not good when it comes to keeping a dairy but I am making and effort to get into a daily routine of doing it.

May the light shine on you all

Re: Book Club
I agree with you.  She makes it easy to understand and practical to follow.  You get books where they recommend a ritual but you cannot understand what they want out of you never mind doing the ritual.  I do not play around with magick since I know there is things out there that I do not understand and that not all of them are nice.

She have a beautiful writing style that makes it easy to read and follow and she makes it fun as well for she would tell you her life experiences that brings you closer to where she comes from.

Never mind the huge amount of practical information she puts in her books,  I have read books that claim to teach you about magick but after putting the book down I was no wiser than before I picked up the book.

I will however look for Everyday Magic by Dorothy for I haven't read on of her books yet.

Are you currently busy reading a book?  If so would you mind telling us about it?

Have a wonderful day
