crystals are infinite in their shapes and energies, and quite obviously i have a deep attraction for them. i put together a simple guide of powerful stones that can be used for charkra's, healing and divination. if you like it, print it out and keep it handy. as always more research is invaluable. most of these stones can be found in an ordinary scratch patch. ask your crystal dealer for kyanite. there's also a meditation that you can tailor for your own use.

Agate

Agate's most noticeable properties overall are balancing yin/yang energy, courage, protection, healing, and calming. Historically it was placed in water for cooking or drinking to dispel sickness. The Metaphysical and Healing Properties Lore of any specific type of agate depend to some extent on the colour of the agate, but all agates have certain things in common.

Agate is a stone of strength. The Ancients used it on the breastplates of armour to give warriors strength and make them victorious in battle. Energetically, it is considered to give strength in both battle and physically.

Agate enhances creativity and strengthens the intellect, making it a beneficial stone for both students and artists. It is also known as a good luck stone. A stone of harmony. Agate increases energy.

Particularly when placed on the Solar Plexus Chakra, it can help one to accept one's emotions, thereby helping overcome those emotions that one wants to remove.

Because of the harmonizing qualities of agate, and its emotional energies of removing and releasing resentments and bitterness, it is also considered by many to be an excellent stone for helping to heal and improve relationships.

Agate can cleanse and stabilize the aura by removing and/or transforming negative energy.

As far as relationships go, agate is a stone of marital and romantic fidelity.

Agate can strengthen the body and the body's connection to the earth. Agate enhances healing of all kinds by bringing the elements of the healee into harmony. Physically, agate is particularly helpful with tooth and gum issues, stomach problems, physical endurance, and insomnia.

 Amethyst

Amethyst is purple quartz, and is a meditative and calming stone. It works in the emotional, spiritual, and physical planes to provide calm, balance, patience, and peace. Amethyst is also beneficial when dealing with legal problems and money issues, which can lead to prosperity and abundance.

Citrine dissipates negative energies of all kinds. It also does not absorb any negative energy from its surroundings, and thus never needs clearing. Since citrine eliminates negative energies, it helps generate stability in all areas, and is good for general protection.

Jasper can also help in balancing the mineral content of the body and can regulate the supplies of iron, sulphur, zinc and manganese. Amethyst meditation

Hold the crystal in your hand and then hold it up to the light. Look at how it sparkles and see how the crystals have formed and grown, in a uniform, balanced shape. As you look deeper into it, let energy flow down your arm and into the crystal as you tune into its energy. Close your hand around it and as a matter of course the crystal will grow warmer. Close your eyes and breathe out, breathe in evenly, relax and focus in your mind on the crystal. Raise a picture of it, think of how old it is and how much it has seen, how much information it has and how strong it is. Imagine yourself as part of the crystal, growing over time to this beautiful energy in this beautiful form, absorbing the knowledge of the eons and watching time fly by as you grow ever stronger and radiant.
