Re: Paganism 101 Classes

A friend of mine is doing a course with Temple of Athena, your book list is impressive, shall send her along to look at purchasing for her reading list :-)

Our first 2009 Course is well under way, and we have had two discussion evenings already, just wanted to remind everyone to take a look at our site often to see what is coming up next... www.paganism.co.za

Happy New Year to all!

Our first class for 2009 will be starting on 13 January 2009, check out details on www.paganism.co.za - look forward to hearing from anyone interested in attending this practical class which is a great starting place for new Pagans and a good way to brush up and learn some new things for people who have been practicing for some time.

Well, first I was a little late because I come from faaaaaaar and the highway was slooooooooow (on a Saturday morning! I mean, have you EVER!). When I got there I was heartily greeted and quickly fell in with the laughter and conversation and MUFFINS and chamomile tea ... ... It was really an AWESOME bunch of peeps!

Then we did some theory. Even though I am quite clue-ed up on my chakras, the lesson was not at all boring and I was reminded of some of the stuff I had forgotten. We then moved into some practical:  meditations; creating and passing and measuring energy; connection with plant energy... but my mostest funnest part was the mandalas!

Lunch was served and BOY! Did we eat and eat and eat. For me that is a bonus because even though I do eat enough at home, food elsewhere is always a bonus.

The day was rounded off with some work with Crystals and we made an immaculate burner oil. Oh, and a very intense brow chakra meditation.
