'witchling' hello! and help plz?

Hello there,

just recently i have decided to take my spirituality more seriously which has been quite the journey, having previously researched wicca and what it's all about i started on a more serious note actually practising the craft.

Im 19 studying in Johannesburg and at the moment am finding what i need all around me at so many different places has anyone got a clue where i can maybe find an occult store of some sort in JHB?

I need a reliable resource - source and it would also just be nice to chat to some people who know and have experienced more than me i still got SO MUCH TO LEARN!

And this site is pretty darn cool dont'cha think!

So ja, anything will be of great help.

You are at the right place, try and get to Mawu, no. 49 Tenth Street, Boksburg North. Telephone is 011 917 5071. Beautiful store with just about everything you can need. I go there, so I know!! If you can not get there, they also do on-line sales. Check out their items on this website. But the visit will be so much more worth it. You will feel at home!!

i will be sure to be making my way over there as soon as possible..

Just thanks for replying i do appreciate it.

There's another thing someone may be able to guide me with maybe just somewhere else on this site? but i need to prepare an initiation rite for myself is there maybe some advice i should hang on to that could be of use?

Greetings Sean,

I am glad I could be of some assistance.

I would suggest you do a "dedication" first, where you dedicate yourself to the Craft, it is usually for 1 year and 1 day, this is the time you take to study and learn first. Thereafter you can do an "Initiation", either self-initiation if you are a Solitary, or within a group, if you belong to a group or Coven.

Should you wish, I can try and put some information together for you, that will assist you in doing your "Dedication" and "Initiation".

Hi Sean And LunaRiver!

I am new to all this. I have been steadily doing research for about a year now on and off. However, it is only now that i truelly,not so much wish to, but WANT to LIVE it. I have allready begun to incorporate the mind set side of things into my life...and boy does it feel good. Definetly not as easy as it seems. So far, so good..... best description____ WOW! :)

I TRUELLY feel drawn to this path.....as it does not necessarily have all the "answers" , but is a channel in which the answers can become clear. Amazing. I have necer been so positive and happy before. I feel as if something has woken inside of me..i physiclly feel it! and my true self(not my ego i've created over the years) which i'm urging to show himself more and more is definatley comfortable with this path so far.

How does one go about "dedicating" yourself?
