Hi Ammon

Well I can't say it was easy, because it took alot of searching. What got me on the way is the fact that I immediately by looking at the picture started searching under Amphibia, because the pic looked like a cross between a frog/fish/lizard to me. I also have to thank you for the clue you gave me. It definitely helped.

I'm attaching another picture of a Mexican Axolotl which I thought was quite cool.
