Greetings from England

Hi all!!! I am here safe and sound and busy setting myself up. I hope that everyone back home is safe and well. Well, going from southern to northern hemisphere has flip turned my world upside down.

My celebration is in a few weeks and it is spring equinox. Strange seeing as i have just celebrated things like Beltain and Summer sulstice back home. Well, this is a time of growth and abundance for me, so that is what i am going to be focusing on in the coming days. I am also looking for a community here. Its not as easy as you might think.

Well, blessings to all of you and i will keep in touch.

May peace be upon you.

Re: Greetings from England
The apothecary is going to change into an office (well that is the plan at this moment, it will probably change in a weeks time)

I heard about your wonderful train experience and are so glad there is something there that reminds you of us.  Tell us more about the shops around there once you have time.  Do they give advice?  Are they friendly?  You know how do they hold up to Mawu? And what can we learn from them to make us better?

Have you been to any cool places yet?

We miss you lots and lots

Blessed be

Marieta

Re: Greetings from England

Wow, good to hear from you again. And even more wonderful to hear that you are enjoying yourself so much.

The Rollright stones are really very interesting, and there is a lot of folklore about them.  For those that are interested, here is one of many legends:

"Legend goes that while the king was surveying the scene he met a local witch. The witch made a bargain with him, saying,

"Seven long strides shalt thou take, If Long Compton thou canst see, King of England thou shalt be." The king, thinking this an easy bargain, replied, "Stick, stock, stone, as King of England I shall be known."

The king took his allotted seven strides, but his view was blocked by the mound known locally as The Archdruids Barrow. The witch triumphantly announced,

"As Long Compton thou canst not see, King of England thou shalt not be, Rise up stick and stand still stone, For King of England thou shalt be none. Thou and thy men hoar stones shall be, and myself an eldern tree"

Whereupon the king and his men became stones, and the witch turned into an elder tree. Moral: don't bargain with witches."

Anyway, enjoy visiting these fascinating places, and keep us informed, we just love to read about it all.

In Love and Light
