Hi Everyone.
I would like to introduce myself. My Name is Joanne (Trying out the name Sapphire). I am 23 years old and I live in Boksburg. I embarked on my Spiritual Path in December. I have just started a Wiccan 101 course at Muwa Mysteria with Ryan. I am LOVING every minutes of it although I am a bit shy and unsure of my self I’m sure things will change once I learn more about everything. I first read the book ‘Wicca for Beginners’ which was helpful, but I must say ‘To Ride a Silver Broomstick – by Silver Ravenwolf’ is a wonderful book very informative and I wish someone had told me to buy this one first.
She is a wonderful writer and I love the fact that you have to do exercise throughout the book.
Finding my Altar has been an Adventure on its own, I started scratching around in the most unlikely places and found the perfect ‘Things’ for my altar. For my wand I decided to go to the place where I grew up, I used to be a farm girl (Heidelberg) to find a Willow tree so that I can make my Wand (Sentimental reasons) – funny thing is that none of the pieces spoke to me that day so I picked up anyone, needless to say that evening when I got home and started reading how to go about making a wand I sat up and ‘Snap’ (I sat up and broke the wand) which I think tells me that it was not meant to be, but I’m happy to report I will be going back on Saturday and I wont leave until I find my perfect branch.
I cant wait for the full moon on the 4th, this will be the first time I will be ‘witchy’ in a sense, I am going to be Planting some herbs on at (Gasp) 1:00am and will try my hand at making a spell…… Cant Wait!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so excited although I had better hurry up with my wand!! We’ll enough of my ramblings, I’ll keep you updated.
