If you want to see one; then let your keep mind take you to an infested house in the astral world. Just make sure he doesn't follow you home! Magical Help:None. Temprament:The Boggart is a male dwarf faery with a squat and distorted form. He is a cousin of the friendly house Brownie; but his intentions are very different. Whereas a Brownie will adopt a home for the joy of offering his help and mutual support; a Boggart will adopt a house just for the sheer delight of destroying things. They are very ill-tempered and greedy.

How To Contact:If you feel you really must contact a Boobrie; it is best to do so from the safey of the shore where the faery cannot come. Call out to it and offer a piece of beef or mutton as an inducement. Where To Find:In the waters off Scotland. Magical Help:It is unlikely that this selfish scavenger can be any help in magickal or ritual workings. While it might appear willing to do anything in return for a meal; there are more reliable faeries to ask for aid whose heart will be in your effors. Temprament:The Boobrie (Boo-bree) is a waterbird about a foot high which can either swim in or fly over the water. Its is a dark animal with black feathers and a huge bill extending out about three feet from its body; which it uses to catch fish when meat is not available. It has a large; sharp claws which often resemble disfigured human hands.

How To Contact:Brownies cannot be beconed to you; but will only come when they are sure you are the sort of person they want to help and approach. Where To Find:Induce them to come to your home by leaving out food for them; and by showing kindness to all living creatures. They can easily be found almost anywhere in Faeryland; which may be the best place to contact them. Magical Help:All household tasks; protection of home; family; and animals. They can; if they choose to; lend their energy to prosperity spells. It never hurts to ask their help. They will give it if they feel your request is a proper one. Temprament:The house Brownie of Scotland is one of the most benevolent and kind faeries you could hope to meet. They are very small dwarf faeries who always appear as males with coal black eyes. They wear little suits of green; blue; or brown; and small caps made of felt. Their ears are slightly pointed and they have long; nimble finger.
